Creating the alien child.
Wardrobe. Costume tests. How much to weather the costume? With or without red scarf? Soaked the costume in tea to give it a base beige color. Dipped tips of the costume in coffee to let the coffee naturally soak up into the costume thus creating streaks that look like dirt.

Shooting continues on The Day They Arrive. Although the film doesn't take place in the 80's, we are definitely channeling that golden era of filmmaking. Here we were shooting kids riding their bikes through the new "soulless suburbia".
BEHIND THE SCENES #2 - As with any film shoot there's always a story to tell behind the scenes.... from questionable food (at rest stops) to cars getting stuck in the sand to a dead body to border patrol investigating the film shoot (in helicopters) because the actor is on the actual California / Mexico border with "questionable clothing".
BEHIND THE SCENES #1 - Shooting "The Day They Arrive" in the Southern California desert (where they filmed Star Wars, Jumanji etc.)
UPDATE #7
Creating concept trailers and shooting test footage.
